WALKING IN PROVENCE

Walking in Provence provides an excellent selection of over 40 walks in this popular area. Covering the Alps Maritimes, Var, Vaucluse and northern Provence, the suggested walks are of short and medium length. Each walk is fully described and illustrated with a sketch map and photographs. Local information of interest to the walker is thoroughly researched, and each walk captures the very essence and atmosphere of life in Provence. There are 42 walks of short and medium length all with clear, accurate descriptions of the routes and detailed maps to accompany them. There is also practical information for the visitor as well as the historical and cultural background to the area.

None of the walks in this book goes higher than 2000 metres and many of them are considerably lower. They are generally within the capability of an averagely fit person and are graded Difficult, Medium or Easy. The comments after the grading should give a good idea as to whether the walk is suitable for you.
